Those applying for higher education or professional registration in another country must take the SAT Exam. Administered by the Educational Testing Service (ETS) on behalf of the College Board, SAT aims to gauge applicants’ competence for admission at the undergraduate programs at Universities and Colleges. SAT examines candidates on the parameters of Mathematics, Reading Test as well as Writing & Language Test. SAT is generally opted for by high school juniors and seniors. A few Colleges outside USA also use SAT scores as a criterion for admission. The SAT is a standardized test, i.e., it is given under the same conditions and scored the same way for all test-takers.

What are the fees for the SAT?

The fee for attempting the test in India is $101 for the SAT without the optional Essay and $117 with the Essay – both inclusive of an International Fee of $49..

How can I decide which test type I am supposed to appear for?

Depending on the requirement of the college/university that you are applying to, you can decide which SAT test type you are supposed to appear for.

How many times can I retake the test?

A student can take unlimited retests depending on the availability of test dates.

Within how much duration will I receive my evaluated test?

You will receive your evaluation in 2-3 business days after submitting the test.

What is the validity of my SAT score?

SAT scores do not expire. However, According to the College Board, “Official score reports sent to colleges five or more years after a test date are accompanied by a message explaining that they may be less valid predictors of college academic performance than more recent scores.”

Is the SAT a pen and paper-based test?

Yes. SAT is a pen and paper-based test ONLY. There is NO computer-based format.
