Broadcast and media communications

It covers a wide spectrum of various communication methods, and primarily includes television and radio. Presently, broadcasting media companies are delivering news and information digitally with the help of web-based applications and media streaming applications. 

Online journalism

Broadcasting television

To provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively report news and produce content for broadcast media platforms such as television and radio. The course typically focuses on the unique aspects of broadcast journalism, including storytelling techniques, audio-visual production, and on-air presentation skills.

Journalism

Candidates can pursue Diploma Journalism Courses after completing their 10+2. Admission to the Diploma Journalism Courses is done based on the marks obtained by candidates at the 10+2 level. To pursue a postgraduate level Journalism course, candidates can pursue a PG Diploma in Journalism. They must have either completed their diploma or undergraduate Journalism course to be eligible for a PG Diploma in Journalism Course.

Mass media / sports journalism

The courses aim to impart journalistic skills to the students, provide hands on training for handling technicalities of Print, Electronic and New Media and apprise them of various Sports and their different aspects. The Department conducts regular lectures for its students, possesses varied study material, has state of the art information and communication laboratory and regularly invites media stalwarts from the industry for guest lectures.

Public relations/ government

will provide participants with a thorough understanding of the government relations function, and the importance of having a clear communications strategy for it.  Participants will gain an understanding of the business value that a strategic approach to government relations can deliver at all stages of the business  cycle.

Television and new media production

Television, and New Media Production or Bachelor of Arts in Film, Television and New Media Production is an undergraduate course. Students study within a framework which combines a broad liberal arts background with specialization in a profession. The course helps to develop the student’s ability to express original ideas on film or video and to instil a thorough understanding of the technical and aesthetic aspects of motion pictures and television.

Radio broadcasting

This comprehensive course aims to provide an understanding of the operation of radio station and radio industry. It exposes students to the radio broadcast industry, technical and creative aspects of radio programming and a thorough training in radio jockeying.

Communication and professional writing

Professional Writing and Communications graduate certificate program supports you as you learn and practise the craft of writing in the digital age while building a professional portfolio. Public relations and corporate

The Public Relations and Corporate Communication Course is a 10 months full-time, Post-graduate Diploma Programme. Advertising

Electronic media

Electronic Media is a 3-years undergraduate program that provides technical knowledge for enhancing skills necessary for media and broadcast industries. As any other BSc Courses eligibility criteria, the basic eligibility criterion that is followed by all leading institutes in India for BSc Electronic media admission is a Higher Secondary School Certificate (10+2).
